Stand For Peace
Stand for Peace, FVLC’s Annual Event took place on October 6, 2011 at Scotts Restaurant in Oakland, CA. The evening brought together 150 community members from Alameda County businesses, nonprofits, and government agencies. Guests enjoyed the live music, food and the excitement of bidding on over 70 items donated by local businesses. The event raised $23,000 for FVLC’s programs and services.
FVLC’s Executive Board President Geoff Haynes welcomed and appreciated Event Sponsors and Guests for attending FVLC’s Annual Event and for being significant contributors towards achieving our common vision of ending domestic violence.
Interim Executive Director,Shannon Ellis, spoke of her deep passion for increasing awareness of the affect of violence on families and recognized FVLC staff and volunteers for the not easy work done on a daily basis providing support and services to survivors and their children.
