In the current economic climate, as we continue to see violence intensify, and the resources available for our clients dwindle, we have decided not to host our annual dinner. Instead, we ask you to gather with friends and family to honor the families we serve so that we can concentrate our resources, time, and energy on what is most important to us: providing life-saving services to domestic violence survivors. "Celebrating Families", this evening of celebration and reflection, will enable FVLC to apply all the funds raised directly to helping families who need our services the most.

You can help create a future without domestic violence by participating in “Celebrating Families” in one or more of the following ways:

• Donate to FVLC in support of our work to end domestic violence in Alameda County.
  
  
• Gather your friends or family together to honor the families FVLC serves, and raise funds to support our life-saving services. If you’d like an FVLC representative to attend your gathering, call us at (510) 208-0220 ext. 328.
  
  
• Become a member of FVLC's Facebook group, and promote awareness of domestic violence via your online networks by posting “I want a future without domestic violence” as your status update on October 30.
  
  
• Enter FVLC’s raffle for an iPhone by sending us your email address. We will enter you in the drawing and keep in touch with you on ways you can stay involved in creating a future without domestic violence.
  
  
• Participate in FVLC’s eBay auction, October 23 to 30, to bid on vacation lodging and other unique items. All proceeds support FVLC’s life-saving services.
